This is a really cool idea, but the way he is posed isn't right compared to the scene what is going on, it is too unstable if he is trying to fight his way out, so he would have a more study stance, mainly have to legs down. The fact it is a slight diagonal angle doesn't help because he looks more like he is falling to to the monsters mouth. Also his left arm is thicker then his right.

On the arm, to indicate to you that this slightly more behind than other one, also the hard shadow of this, reduces very much volume.
